The 802.11ax extends MU-MIMO technology from 4×4 to 8×8 and allows for both uploads and downloads compared to 802.11ac MU-MIMO. The 802.11ax access points with 8×8 MU-MIMO in uplink and downlink provide up to 4 times greater capacity in high-density scenarios compared to traditional SU-MIMO (Single-User MIMO), allowing for more simultaneous device connections.

Increased efficiency with OFDMA

The Wi-Fi 6 standard uses OFDMA for more efficient channel usage and reduced latency. Imagine your WiFi connection as a series of delivery trucks delivering data packets to devices. With 802.11ac Wi-Fi, each delivery truck could only deliver one package to one device at a time. But with OFDMA, each truck can deliver multiple packages to multiple devices simultaneously. This huge improvement in performance works for both uploads and downloads.

More data with 1024-QAM

With 1024-QAM, each symbol carries 10 bits instead of 8 bits, improving primary speeds by 25% compared to 802.11ac 256-QAM. Watch Netflix at home or stream live Twitch broadcasts from your home computer – with 1024-QAM, streaming just got a lot better.

Auto Channel Selection & Power Adjustment

Automatic channel selection is provided. This means that the one with the best signal is selected at any given time by appropriately adjusting the power. In this way, the wireless performance of the network is maximized and Wi-Fi interference is significantly reduced.

Seamless roaming

Seamless roaming “transfers” wireless devices seamlessly and automatically to the ideal Access Point (for example, when there are multiple in the IT infrastructure) so that users always enjoy the best possible connection as they move around the space. PoE Support

The Omada Hardware Controllers OC200 and OC300, the Omada Software Controller, and the Omada Cloud-Based Controller make real-time management a simple task, while the provided cloud service gives you the ability to have secure, remote access wherever you are.

Secure guest network

The Secure Guest Network provides guests and visitors (with support for up to 16x SSIDs) secure access to the WiFi network, while the provided “captive portal” solution allows WiFi usage only for authorized users. Authentication via Facebook or SMS message greatly facilitates connections.
