The air drawn by the vent hood is either expelled through a duct or recirculated within the hood. For air extraction operation, a duct needs to be installed to expel the air outside the kitchen. It accepts metal filters, which can be removed and washed in the dishwasher or by hand. Additionally, they do not require frequent replacement.
